Timber Timbre Available Today + Final Fantasy Tour
Arts & Crafts is proud to release
Timber Timbres self-titled full-length in Canada, today, June 30. Recently announced to the
Polaris Music Prize long list, the album will see its U.S. release on July 28.
Timber Timbre (a.k.a. Taylor Kirk) will take his mesmerizing and haunting melodies throughout Canada with his band, supporting
Final Fantasy, beginning September 24 as part of Victoria BCs
Rifflandia Festival.
Timber Timbre also performs July 17 in his hometown of Toronto at the intimate
Church of the Redeemer just prior to his much-anticipated performance at this years
Hillside Festival in Guelph, ON. Full tour details are listed below.

Masters Of The Burial
Amy Millan is set to release her sophomore full-length,
Masters Of The Burial, on September 8 through Arts & Crafts International. The follow up to her acclaimed 2006 debut,
Honey From The Tombs, was recorded earlier this year with renowned producer/sound technician
Martin Davis Kinack (
Apostle of Hustle/Sarah Harmer/Broken Social Scene) in rural Ontario.
Fans of Millans in Toronto can catch her live with her band, July 25 for a free show at the Harbourfront Centre, with labelmate Gentleman Reg. A fall tour is in the works and will be announced shortly.

Girls Come Too
Arts & Crafts is set to release the debut full-length from the youthful members of East York, ON quintet,
Still Life Still. The much-anticipated album titled,
Girls Come Too, will be available August 25, 2009.
Together since grade school, Brendon Saarinen (vocals/guitar), Eric Young (vocals/guitar), Derek Paulin (bass), Aaron Romaniuk (drums) and Josh Romaniuk (keyboards/percussion) have been playing music together over the past decade. Through enthusiastic word of mouth and the band's infectious performances in the Toronto house party scene, Still Life Still has built a devoted Toronto fan base.
Girls Come Too was recorded and mixed by Martin Davis Kinack and Kevin Drew, who also produced the Pastel EP which was released last week and is available at GalleryAC.

Polaris Long List Announced
The
Polaris Music long list was announced today and we are thrilled that
The Stills,
Charles Spearin,
Bell Orchestre and
Timber Timbre have made the cut so far. The short list will be announced July 7, so

The 15th annual
North By Northeast music festival kicks off Wednesday and we are very excited to bring you a number of events, beginning with our
two showcase nights at the Courthouse.
Apostle of Hustle will be doing an in-store at
Criminal Records on June 16th (full details
here) as well as performing live at the MTV studios June 17th. Get your tickets by emailing

Jason Collett and his band play the Horseshoe Tavern on June 20th as part of the CBC Radio showcase.

Los Campesinos! Announce U.S. Shows and Aleks' Departure
Having just returned from a five month stay in the USA that saw them tour North and South America and record a new album,
Los Campesinos! - writing on their
blog - have revealed the departure of a Campesinos! as well as details of their biggest tour yet of the USA in August.
"This is a difficult announcement to have to write, and one we'd have hoped we'd never need to, but it is with a heavy heart we in Los Campesinos! need to announce the forthcoming departure of Aleks Campesinos! from our number," the band writes,
"we are finishing up Aleks' final record with the band, and can announce her final LC! shows - a US Tour, taking place in August."Arts & Crafts wishes Aleks the best of luck with her future endeavors.
