Location: Toronto, ON

As an Artist Management Coordinator you will be responsible for supporting front line managers by providing high-level administrative support, organizing, prioritizing and handling confidential information in the development of artists careers.

In this role, you will be involved across all facets of the artists activities - both administrative and creative. Thus, you will require a solid working knowledge of album creation and release, international touring, social media, marketing and promotion, funding, press and publicity, publishing and licensing, budgeting and accounting, content creation, design etc.

Communication skills are a valuable asset. A working knowledge of roles and responsibilities in the music industry is crucial. This includes agents, producers, managers, designers, promoters, marketers, A&R, publishers, etc.

Some of the tasks you may be responsible for are:
  • Handle general day to day administration
  • Liaise with artists’ teams including agents, publicists, labels, publishers, business managers
  • Manage artist’s professional calendar and schedule
  • Manage of artist’s online community and social media
  • Assist in managing and coordinating recording projects and asset creation process for artists
  • Assist with artist campaign roll-outs and strategy
  • Manage budgets for artist projects and tours
  • Manage tour production and logistics including forecasting and settlement of tour budgets, work permits, travel arrangements and hiring of tour personnel
  • Prepare, submit, and complete all grant applications with respect to the artists’ activities. These include but are not limited to: FACTOR, Toronto Arts Council, Ontario Arts Council, OMDC, Canada Council for the Arts, MusicBC, Alberta Music. etc.
  • Register artists’ repertoire and catalogue to SOCAN, Soundexchange and other PROs.
  • Report (venue) music sales to Nielsen Soundscan via atVenu

Job Specifications:
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in the music industry and post secondary education in related field (music or business management) OR minimum 2 years of experience in artist management field
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel and Word as well as Adobe Photoshop
  • Exceptional problem solving and logistic skills
  • Exceptional attention to detail
  • Ability to maintain extremely tight timelines with great efficiency
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively to multiple teams at once
  • Knowledge of music industry trends and standards
