Bishop Morocco
Bishop Morocco is the musical vision of James Sayce and Jake Fairly. The Toronto-based duo recorded its 2008 self-titled debut at a homemade studio inside their shared in Groningen, Netherlands, earning international attention from the likes of Parisian tastemaker Collette and helping develop a strong following at home in Canada. Two years later, Bishop Morocco arrives on Arts & Crafts with Old Boys, a six-track EP on which the band strays from its original new wave influences towards a thicker, more contemplative sound, aided by the addition of Ian Worang on guitar and Jon McCann on drums.

Eight and a Half
Justin Peroff of Broken Social Scene + Dave Hamelin and Liam O'Neil of The Stills = Eight and a Half. With this pedigree, the band has wasted no time earning endorsements from tastemakers like SPIN, MTV, The Fader and Brooklyn Vegan, following buzzy singles "Scissors" and "Go Ego" with its self-titled debut out April 10.

Gold & Youth
Formed in Victoria BC, Canada, in the fall of 2008 and settled now in Vancouver, GOLD & YOUTH (formerly known as The Racoons, and for a second Jakarta) has developed their craft on a considerable number of stages. Musically, they blend synthetic and organic textures. Sequenced bass and programmed drum loops are layered against the sound of a live band, creating a density one might not expect from a three-piece.

Still Life Still
Descriptors come up short with Still Life Still. This is a band whose primary musical influence is each other; before their parents bought them instruments at age 13, they were beating on tin cans and making guitar noises with their mouths. By their own admission, they were raised on mainstream rock videos-any of their indie rock/ambient/experimental aspects they arrived at entirely on their own.

The East York, Ontario bred five piece released its debut, Girls Come Too, in 2009 followed by tour dates with Stephen Malkmus, The Hold Steady and Kurt Vile.

The band has just completed its sophomore full length in Toronto and is currently finalizing release plans.

Zulu Winter
Twelve years after their first practice as a band, Oxfordshire, England quartet Zulu Winter gears up to release Language, a debut album inspired by everything from 19th century literature to obscure '60s electronica. Language will be released in North America on June 19 via Arts & Crafts.

The record is a collection of multi-dimensional songs that bleed with sentiment and syncopated dance beats. The album opens with "Key To My Heart," a sincere message of love that showcases the depth and richness of the band's sound with layers of swirling instrumentation. The upbeat "Silver Tongue" is driven by an energetic bass line that leads to a danceable chorus. "Bitter Moon" is an emotionally charged track hinged on a powerful chorus, inviting listeners to experience a vulnerable side of the band. "We Should Be Swimming" is a melancholic pop-song running over a compelling rhythm.
