Arts & Crafts is thrilled to reveal details from Constantines forthcoming album Kensington Heights, which is available April 15 in Canada and April 29 in U.S.
12 tracks in all, the lead-off single, "Hard Feelings", has already received tremendous response from fans throughout North America, since its release on January 15 as a limited edition, white 7-inch vinyl.
The Constantines maintain a feverishly partisan dedication to the wild delirium of rock n roll air punchingly anthemic. NME
Once the Constantines start heading off-stage, the woo hoos start going off like air-raid sirens. No one's saying it, but everyone's thinking it: we have something to believe in again. The Constantines are the children of Fugazi, stepbrothers to Make-Up and Trail of Dead, the grand-kids of Springsteen and Strummer. They call what they do soul music, not because of what it sounds like, but where it hits you.EYE Weekly
Arts & Crafts is set to release the first single from Toronto-based rock group, Constantines. "Hard Feelings" will be available January 15, 2008 as a limited edition 7" vinyl. The track, taken from Constantines' forthcoming album (album title TBA), along with the track "Easy Money," marks the bands
first ever 7" release.
Constantines' music, as well as their thundering and inspired live shows, have continually earned the band a loyal following from both music writers and music fans alike, drawing comparisons to The Clash, Bruce Springsteen, Fugazi and Nick Cave.
The band has toured extensively throughout the U.S., Canada and Europe since the release of their Juno nominated self-titled debut album in 2001, and have shared the stage with the likes of Foo Fighters, The Weakerthans, The Hold Steady, and Guided by Voices, to name a few. Constantines are currently at home in Toronto, putting the finishing touches on their fourth studio album (follow up to 2003's Shine A Light and 2005's Tournament of Hearts) due for release in April 2008 on Arts & Crafts.

One of the more slightly awkward questions asked in the course of small talk is often, "Who's your favourite band" -You're supposed to answer, "I don't have one favourite, but I like" which will lead to a discussion of genres and tastes. I am one of the few with a definitive answer: Constantines. I can't recall the first time I heard them, but it would have been on CD, their first, self-titled 2000 release. It came in a beautiful hand-made package that contained a wooden match, an appropriate way to light a long creative fuse that led to 2002's brilliant Shine a Light, through to the even stronger Tournament of Hearts in 2005, and culminating now in the explosive Kensington Heights.
