Part-time Position: Accounts Payable/Accounts Receivable Clerk
Arts & Crafts has an immediate opportunity for an Accounts Payable/Accounts Receivable Clerk, working part-time (2 days per week) at our downtown Toronto office. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of one year of experience in accounting as well a passion for music, an eye for detail and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES

Accounts Payable
  • Upload Purchase Orders
  • Review and process employee expenses, assessing for accuracy and compliance with company policies and HST regulations
  • Enter bills into accounting system, ensuring proper approvals have been obtained
  • Process weekly EFT, cheque and wire payments
  • Process monthly credit card statements

Account Receivable
  • Work with multiple departments to generate invoices
  • Prepare and process payments and weekly bank deposits
  • Generate monthly receivable reports and follow up for payment

General
  • Respond to staff inquiries regarding the status of invoices and payments
  • Work closely with the Production and Accounting teams to maintain consistency while updating product codes
  • Perform monthly bank reconciliations for multiple accounts
  • Assist with compiling information for grant applications, year-end, audits, etc.

KEY COMPETENCIES
  • A passion for music
  • Diploma in Accounting or commerce
  • Knowledge of accounting principles and practices
  • Familiarity with accounting software
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills and ability to work within a team
  • Ability to understand the larger picture
  • Highly organized, adaptable and able to work independently
  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment and meet deadlines
